Over the years we have heard many stories of people who have been scammed or simply did not receive what was promised, when trying to buy/ sell their Domain, Forum & Website online.

This is mainly when using payment processors such as paypal or similar payment processors.

There has not been any such case at Massive Links and we hope this never happens. However it pays to be cautious.

FOR SELLERS
If a buyer disputes a transaction, Paypal will always favor the buyer and the money will be returned.
It is also important not to transfer the domain until you have the full amount. Large domain registrars such as Godaddy will not care if you transfer a domain and do not receive the money.

FOR BUYERS
Use a credit card to pay for a domain name. This way if you do not receive what you purchased you can file a charge back. Of course if the money has been taken out of the sellers paypal account this might be a bit difficult, but having a credit card company involved makes Paypal a little more active to sort out the issue.

If its a large transaction our advise is to use a service such as escrow.com or sedo.com. It might cost a small amount, but it could save you heaps.

You should also do some research about the person your dealing with (eg: typing their email in google).

If you notice anything suspicious about a user, please contact an admin or a moderator. DO NOT accuse anyone in the forums without substantial proof.
