Should kids under 13 be able to have a Facebook Account?

Do you believe that kids under age 13 should be allowed a Facebook account?
What are your thoughts?

I don't believe so.

For a starters, I think if they got kids involved online it should be in a environment perfect for them, in other words a kiddy version that filters bad words and certain topics and make the parents feel better.

That aside I don't like the idea in itself, I rather if you could make kids join forums since they are ten, specially if there are general audience friendly ones, but it is good you have to wait until you are 13. Even at that age you can get more negative than positive from SN.

You are just creating habits and putting attention to this online media could set them the wrong priorities when they don't have formed yet the understanding of the importance of why some things must be done before another, even if you don't enjoy them as much.

Yeah i dont think anyone under the age of 13 should have a facebook account. a little older they might be a little more conscious of what can happen and make better decisions.
